FAQ

How many trophies are in Phantom Blade Zero?
Thirty-six: 1 Platinum, 3 Gold, 14 Silver, and 18 Bronze, with 19 of them hidden on the PS5 list. The split is verified across keengamer's roadmap, PowerPyx, and TrueTrophies.
Can you earn the platinum in one playthrough?
Yes. Director Soulframe Liang confirmed every trophy fits a single run on any of the first three difficulties, including Wayfarer. Budget 30-40 hours; the main story alone runs about 25-30.
Which Phantom Blade Zero trophies are missable?
Seven: With Heart and Blood (true ending) plus six side-quest trophies — Forbidden Arts Beneath the Lake, The Last of Baishan, Together Till the End, A Wanderer's Honor, Spectral Blade, and The Healer's Legacy.
What is the hardest trophy in Phantom Blade Zero?
With Heart and Blood, the Gold for the true ending. It requires finishing every purple-icon quest chain before the Mirage Estate point of no return — it is a discipline check, not a skill check.

All 36 trophies in Phantom Blade Zero and the route to the Defy Destiny platinum

Phantom Blade Zero’s platinum is one of the friendlier in the genre: 36 trophies, no difficulty requirement, no New Game+ or 66 Days requirement, one playthrough. Verified against keengamer’s trophy roadmap and PowerPyx’s launch guide, the list splits into 17 boss kills, 9 side-quest completions, 4 story and ending beats, and 6 upgrade and collectible tasks — plus the Platinum itself. Nineteen trophies are hidden on the PS5 list (mostly boss names, all reproduced below). This page is the full index; for the exact fail triggers behind the seven missables, the missable quests checklist goes deeper.

Story and Ending Trophies

The Heart’s Journey Bronze Escape the Pursuers on the Main Road — the opening sequence, unmissable.
All Dreams Must End Gold Defeat Meng Hua, the Normal Ending final boss — see all endings.
With Heart and Blood Gold Unlock the True Ending. Missable — the full chain is mapped in the true ending checklist.

Side Quest Trophies (9)

Six of the nine are missable; the last three stay open after the credits.

Trophy Grade Unlock condition
Forbidden Arts Beneath the Lake Silver Complete Secrets at the Heart of the Lake. Missable — finish before the Mirage Estate.
Phantom and Blade Silver Complete Bloodline Awakening and the five Long Pillars.
The Last of Baishan Bronze Complete Secrets of the Baishan Sect. Missable — two-stage cutoff around Bai Chilian and Yubi.
Together Till the End Bronze Complete The Journey Home. Missable — report to Old Man Gen before entering Pangzhen.
A Wanderer’s Honor Bronze Complete Young Master Lan. Missable — same Pangzhen cutoff.
Spectral Blade Bronze Complete A Severed Mindseal. Missable — hand in the first Primal Stone before leaving Weeping Creek Valley.
The Healer’s Legacy Bronze Complete Flesh Lily, Apprentice Healer, and A Healer’s Mercy. Missable — all before Bai Chilian.
Lost and Found Bronze Complete all of Quick Hand Zhang’s requests across five regions.
Even Trees Know Sorrow Silver Complete Heart of the Banyan.

Upgrade and Collectible Trophies (6)

Trophy Grade Unlock condition
A Tempered Ten Bronze Perform Soul Tempering on 10 weapons (5,000 Remnant Dust each).
Phantom Arsenal Bronze Perform Soul Tempering on 10 Phantom Edges.
Overwhelming Force Bronze Upgrade any weapon to Level 30.
Skill Over Strength Bronze Upgrade any Phantom Edge to Level 30.
Listen to Every Flower Bronze Collect 10 Memory Flowers — start with the Crimson Forest flowers.
Collector’s Notes Silver Collect 30 Accessories.

The four upgrade trophies are Dust-hungry: twenty tempers alone cost 100,000 Remnant Dust, and enemies never respawn. Bank early and sweep efficiently with the Remnant Dust farming routes.

Platinum Route: The Efficient Order

  1. Pick any difficulty. Wayfarer counts for everything — the difficulty settings trade-offs are pure preference.
  2. Sweep Weeping Creek Valley before leaving. Bank A Severed Mindseal and both Healer’s Legacy legs before you move on.
  3. Clear Crimson Forest’s board before Bai Chilian. Five quests fail on her death — the single biggest fail point in the game.
  4. Respect the Pangzhen cutoff. Finish The Journey Home and Young Master Lan’s village conversation before crossing into the city.
  5. Temper as you go. Twenty tempers across weapons and Edges is not a grind if you temper every new find once; pick one blade and one Edge for the Level 30 pushes.
  6. Before the Mirage Estate, finish every purple-icon quest. Secrets at the Heart of the Lake, the Puppet Eyes, the masks, the pillars — this banks With Heart and Blood and the true ending.
  7. Post-game cleanup. Quick Hand Zhang, Heart of the Banyan, leftover collectibles, and any upgrade trophies. Everything except the seven missables stays open.

What the Platinum Does NOT Require

  • No difficulty trophy — nothing is tied to Wayfarer, Pathbreaker, or Hellwalker.
  • No New Game+ or 66 Days trophies — both modes exist, neither awards anything.
  • No second ending run — the game has two endings, but only the True Ending carries a trophy; the Normal Ending’s Gold (All Dreams Must End) pops on the way there.
  • No online anything — the game is single-player only, so no server-shutdown risk on this platinum.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the platinum take? Thirty to forty hours per keengamer and PowerPyx — the main story runs 25-30, and the cleanup is light if you swept regions as you went.

Are any boss trophies missable? No. Only quest-completion trophies can fail; every boss either sits on the critical path or remains reachable after the credits.

Do I need to back up saves? It helps. The game offers 20 manual save slots plus 3 rotating autosaves — save at each region’s start and before every region-ending boss so a failed quest costs a reload, not a replay.

Sources: keengamer trophy list and platinum roadmap, PowerPyx trophy guide and roadmap, TrueTrophies listing (October 29-31, 2026). One fan wiki lists the split as 13 Silver / 19 Bronze — keengamer, PowerPyx, and TrueTrophies all agree on 14 Silver / 18 Bronze, which is used here.
